Q. Can I use the RGB Controller outdoors?
A. The RGB Controller can only be used outdoors if sealed in a watertight box that has been specifically designed for this purpose.
Q. I would like to use the LED Strip as a cove light. Does the RGB Controller have an on/off wall switch?
A. No, not at this time. However, one can use a wall mounted light switch that is wired to an AC wall outlet to achieve this purpose.
As an alternative, a Remote Wireless Wall Switch is currently available that can send a signal directly to the outlet.
Q. If I were to turn off the light switch that operates the RGB Controller, will the controller retain my last setting?
A. Yes. The RGB Controller will store the most recent setting until one were to change it.
Q. Can I cut the Color Changing Strip?
A. Yes. However, in doing so, it will void the warranty if the light were to be altered in any manner. In addition, it is absolutely necessary to cut the LED strip where indicated, further noting that the end cap must be resealed to the end of the ribbon strip to produce a watertight seal.
Q. I would like to use the Light Strip for an outdoor event but do not have access to a 120V wall outlet. Are there any alternative methods by which I can power the ribbon strip?
A. Yes. Because the 120V Brite Light Flex Color Changing Ribbon Strip draws only 100 watts per 33-ft., one can easily power the strip by plugging it into a generator.
